Meet Dr. Sandy Hunter
Dr. Sandy Hunter attended the University of British Columbia, where she double-majored in chemistry and cell biology and minored in social psychology. She then went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from UBC in 2003. While at UBC dental school, Dr. Hunter earned general dentistry and endodontics awards.
Dr. Hunter chose dentistry as a profession because she loves helping people improve their oral health and enjoys working with her team to problem-solve and find new and improved ways to make teeth look better and make patients happier. Dr. Hunter's professional skills include dental implant placement and bone grafting, clear aligner therapy, smile rehabilitation, and Botox®.
With a passion for education and learning, Dr. Hunter has completed countless hours of advanced training. A few of the areas she has studied include dental implantology, progressive orthodontics, laser dentistry, prosthodontics, TMJ dysfunction, and smile rehabilitation.
Born and raised on Vancouver Island, Dr. Hunter is married with a daughter and twin boys. The family also has a Rhodesian Ridgeback named Sasha, who takes her guard-dog responsibility very seriously!
In her free time, she loves watching her kids' activities, reading fiction, and travelling. Dr. Hunter also spends time learning about new techniques in dentistry and constantly working on improving herself as a person and a clinician.
