The Dental Veneer Procedure
The dental veneer procedure is a relatively simple method for altering the shape and appearance of your teeth and typically requires little to no anaesthesia.
First, the dentist will perform a 3D scan of the tooth surface. The images produced by this scan will then be used to develop a virtual model of the tooth for your custom porcelain veneer.
Once ready, the veneers will be cemented to the front of each tooth, providing a natural-looking and rejuvenated appearance to the tooth.
The Results of Veneers
You might notice very subtle variations in the colour of porcelain veneers compared to the rest of your teeth, but only if you look closely.
That said, colour variations also occur in natural teeth, and the casual observer will likely not notice these.
Some patients may decide to have a teeth whitening procedure prior to having veneers placed so that the veneers' colour is matched to a brighter shade.
