How At-Home Teeth Whitening Works
During your appointment, we will prepare a custom whitening tray using impressions of your teeth.
You'll return for another visit to pick up your tray and whitening gel, as well as detailed instructions on how to apply the gel.
Next, you'll place the whitening gel in each tray, and place them over your teeth as instructed. The trays in your mouth must be worn for one to two hours daily.
The Results
Typically, you'll see results within 10 to 14 days, with a significant change in tooth colour generally occurring in four to six weeks.
Tooth whitening may have limited effects on heavily stained teeth. In these instances, an alternative treatment to consider may be dental crowns or veneers.
